Yamabuki

Synopsis

Chang-su, a former equestrian athlete on the South Korean national team, was forced to give up his dream early. He now finds himself working in a quarry in the village of Minawa in Tokushima Prefecture, where he lives with Minami and her young daughter. Yamabuki, a teenager, begins to organize silent protests that turn into community actions, much to the dismay of her policeman father. The peaceful rural life gradually fades away in the mouths of those who reveal the frustration and loneliness they reject.
