Synopsis
Over the last 50 years, the historical account of what happened in 1971 has not stopped conforming to real facts and others that are less so. This documentary tries to gather testimonies and reflections by eminent academics, historians, researchers, politicians, journalists and witnesses from the US, UK, India, Bangladesh and Pakistan. Their remarks help clarify the events that led to the separation of Pakistan and the creation of Bangladesh.
Director
Javed Jabbar (Pakistan, 1945) is a filmmaker and writer. He was a senator between 1985 and 1991 and has served on three federal cabinets. He was also National Affairs Advisor to the Chief Executive of Pakistan. Jabbar has been recognized with several distinctions in different fields, for being a public intellectual, who collaborates with the main think tanks, research centers and public forums in the country.
