Synopsis

Maryam learns that her son, whom she thought was dead, is still alive. Ten years ago, she gave birth to a deformed boy with a large head, and his father and brother intend to take him to the desert to bury him alive. However, they are unable to carry out this task and instead give him to an old woman to raise, sending her money for his care. Now, the woman has died and no one wants to take care of the child. So Maryam will travel with her ex-brother-in-law in search of him on an amazing road trip.

Director

Karim Lakzadeh (Iran, 1986), is a filmmaker and playwright, who studied theater and cinema at the Tehran Theater School. In 2008, with The Fortress he won the Award for Best Experimental Play. Lakzadeh has directed six short films, including Jila (2014) which received international recognition.
