Synopsis
In a small Indian town, an old man named Ananda spends the day watching porn with his friends. Suddenly, by accident, he comes home with a film by the legendary French filmmaker Jean-Luc Godard. Despite the disappointment that his friends seem to experience, he feels a great desire to learn more about this filmmaker’s work and begins to become obsessed to the point of conceiving the idea of a festival dedicated solely to him.
Director
Amartya Bhattacharyya (Calcutta, 1987) is an award-winning filmmaker, writer and artist. He graduated in Information Technology from Techno India College of Technology in 2009. He made his foray into the art world with the artist Shri Siddhartha Mukherjee. Capital I was his first feature film. Later, his films have participated in more than 140 international film festivals, including the Moscow International Film Festival, Jogja-NETPAC, Dhaka, Oakland, Cardiff and Ethiopia, among others.
