Synopsis
Chu Tsz-yan (Karen Ng) is the daughter of blind parents. Despite the difficulties and dangers involved, Hung (Kara Wai) and Keung (Hugo Ng) stubbornly persist in raising their daughter in a safe and positive environment. During her childhood, Yan helps her parents run their day-to-day life, selling goods on the street alongside her father or cheerfully reading menus aloud. But when she reaches adolescence, her optimism disappears. She is tired of being the family helper and her mother being so on top of her, she doesn’t feel comfortable with her classmates, and she dreams of one day leaving Hong Kong. However, when her father unexpectedly finds himself unemployed, it is time for Yan to assume her role and take a charge of the family situation.
