Synopsis

It is the Year 2043. A military occupation controls disenfranchised cities in post-war America. Children are the property of the state. A Cree woman desperate, by Native American people living in Canada, joins an underground gang of Watchmen to infiltrate a state children’s academy and retrieve her daughter. Night Raiders is a dystopian drama starring resilient women who don’t accept the rules of the game.

Director

Danis Goulet (Canada, 1977) is aa acknowledged writer and filmmaker. She is a former programmer for the Toronto International Film Festival and a former director of the imagine NATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival. In 2018, she joined the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and in 2021, she joined the Toronto International Film Festival Board. Her feature debut Night Raiders premiered in the Panorama section of the 2021 Berlinale and has been screened at various international festivals.
