Four women have something in common: they are all suffering hardships in their lives, they have all arrived in Kabul and in one way or another they are all related to each other. She works in her own beauty salon along with her assistant and companion Zinat, who left her stepfather’s village to escape from him. On the other side we find Latifa, a college student who works hard to cope with her life and help her single mother, who also resides in the village from which Zinat escaped.
