SYNOPSIS

The Flute shows how the same material, bamboo, has influenced the lives of three different generations of the same family: an old man with a cane, a watchman with a bamboo stick, and a small boy with a bamboo flute.

DIRECTOR’S BIOGRAPHY

Winner of an international prize, Viswanath’s debut film Radio Set won the Public’s Best Movie Award at Busan’s International Film Festival in 2015. He won 2 awards more and 12 official selections in international festivals. His short film Monitor was also selected at India’s Panorama Section in IFFI Goa, 2018. He was also a jury in the Panorama Section of India’s International Film Festival in 2017. The Flute is his second feature film.
