Rona and Hamed are two young Afghans in love whose relationship leads to a family and social conflict. Breaking with their country’s tradition and customs they decide to abandon it in search of a better life. However, it is not going to be as easy as they thought to emigrate to Europe and accomplish their dreams against the opposition they will find on their way.
Navid Mahmoudi (Parvan, 1980) moved to Iran from Afghanistan with his family when he was six years old. He began his professional career as an assistant director, and soon directed his own short films. He has produced more than ten films for television. The Asian Film Festival Barcelona has screened these titles in previous editions, in addition to Seven and a Half. His films have been selected to represent Afghanistan at the Oscars.
