SYNOPSIS

Set in 1960s India, the film tells the story of the challenges faced by a young boy and a young widow who dream of escaping their oppressive and suffocating lives. Both are an image of each other: the young Naga lives in an idyllic and serene countryside but is subjected to all kinds of humiliations because of his economic situation; and the young widow, although belonging to a higher caste, is in turn deprived of all those things that would allow her to enjoy life, due to the prevailing customs and traditions of the world in which she feels imprisoned.
