SYNOPSIS

Jae-bok, a 49-year-old worker who has been on strike for 5 years with his co-workers, has been laid off. After the union lost the final lawsuit requesting the invalidation of the recent layoffs, including his, they decide to take ten days off strike. Jae-bok goes home and gets a part-time job at a furniture factory during those days to earn some money to pay for his daughter’s college tuition and a jacket for his other daughter. As her satisfaction in returning to work and daily life with her daughters grows, Jae-bok receives an offer for a full-time job.

DIRECTOR’S BIOGRAPHY

Lee Ran-hee was born in 1971, Seoul. He graduated from Myong-ji University, Department of Linguistics and English Literature. His short film A Perm, A Night before the Wedding, A Tent was widely acclaimed around the world. A Leave is his first feature film.
