Lakshmi is a mother and a no-nonsense school principal. Her life is uncomplicated and safe and she is blissfully unaware of the storm brewing that will threaten everything she believes in. She loves her son Varun, a cheerful and a carefree young man who is devoted to her. Varun always knew he was different from other boys, but felt secure in his mother’s love. That security is shattered when Lakshmi discovers Varun is gay and rejects him. Varun finds love with Karthik, but he will never be as happy as he once was. Finally, Lakshmi can’t bear the loss of her son and sets out to find him. The film has been presented at the New York LGBT Film Festival 2017, Dialogues Kolkata LGBT fest 2017, Chennai International Film Festival 2017, Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2017 and the Kashish Mumbai International Queer Film Festival 2018. And it won the Best Debut Director award at the Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival 2018.

Lokesh Kumar (1989) is an Indian film director, writer and producer. He pursued diploma in mechanical engineering in S.A Polytechnic college. Later, pushed by his great passion for cinema and being inspired by many film festivals and social issues in the society, he started making his own short films which allowed him to experiment, learn the craft & later he turned into a full time independent filmmaker.
