PIPSI: A BOTTLE FULL OF HOPE

Set in rural Maharashtra, “Pipsi” gives us a glimpse of the ways of the world through the eyes of two children. The plot is the story of eight-year-old Chaani, who embarks on a journey of hope to save her ailing mother with the unflinching belief that the fate of her mother is tied to the life of a fish she names Pipsi. And her best friend, Balu is her constant support through this exciting endeavour. The film was presented at the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival 2017.

Rohan Deshpande is a film editor known for “Picnic” (2019) and “Sobat” (2018). “Pipsi” (2018), his debut as feature film director, presents a beautiful story of innocent faith and dogged hope.
