DIVORCE ME BECAUSE OF THE CATS

Based on a true story, the film follows a young couple who refers to the court and request for a divorce. When the judge asks them for a reason, they blame the cats. The film has been presented at the Fajr International Film Festival 2019.

Mohammad Ali Sajadi (1957, Amol) belongs to the first generation of post-revolutionary Iranian cinema. A poet, novelist and director, he made his first short film, “Who is the cleverest of all?” when he was thirteen and has written the scripts of most of his films.
