The 11th Edition of Asian Film Festival Barcelona is here!

The Asian Film Festival Barcelona | AFFBCN, the Asian auteur film festival, in the year 2023, completes its eleventh edition and will take place from the 25th of October to the 5th of November. The event specializing in Asian cinema remains faithful to its origins, in which it presents a program that includes more than a hundred films proceeding from around 25 countries in Asia and the Asia – Pacific region, in which historical narrative, gender issues, and drama in all its dimensions fill the cinematographic proposal of this edition with its content.

Filmoteca de Catalunya, Cinemas Girona, Phenomena, CaixaForum, Zumzeig and Manifesta 15 Barcelona are this year’s venues for the in-person film screenings, while FILMIN and Betevé will be the platforms for the online sessions. One more year, the cinema hall of the Phenomena will host the inaugural film of AFFBCN, although the principal venue of the festival will continue to be Cinemes Girona, where most of the screenings will take place.
