Bai Xue (1984, China) is a director and screenwriter graduated from Beijing Film Academy in 2007. “The Crossing” is her debut feature film. In order to better understand the daily lives of the “cross-boundary children,” Bai Xue has made countless commutes between these two cities, took 30,000 words of notes from interviews, and took hundreds of photos and videos as part of her filmmaking approach. She firmly believes that having a strong foundation in reality is the key to the success of a film.
