Morteza Nezhadi took part in the 2002 Taekwondo Olympics, but agreed to let himself be beaten for political reasons. This decision became an obsession both professionally and personally. After eight years, he was called back to the national team, but he was worried about being challenged by the young star Behdad Moghimi, known as Tsunami. The latter, however, is also at a personal crossroads because his girlfriend is not accepted into the national basketball team because of her Afghan origin.

Milad Sadrameli was an assistant to his father, Rasoul Sadrameli, from a very young age. This is how he was introduced to the world of cinema. In 2006 he made his first documentary, Varazdin Pedestrians, about the former coach of the Iranian national football team, Branko Ivanković. And Tsunami is his first feature film.
