The Swing

Bolot is an honest old worker, who has dedicated his life to taking care of the heating system of the local school. When the coal in his house runs out, his wife persuades him to take the supplies they need from the school provisions. Necessity forces Bolot to do something he doesn’t want to do and endanger his life’s work.

Samara Sagynbaeva (1990), after studying journalism, debuts with her first short film “The Swing”, which has won her great international recognition, being nominated at festivals in Munich, Hong Kong, London. Currently, he lives and studies in Prague at the FAMU International (Film and Television School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague).
