Princess Aya

Princess Aya of the Sabi Kingdom is the object of a curse by which she is transformed into wild animals. The only thing that can contain these transformations is her mother’s amulet. When her house is besieged, her father, the King, establishes an alliance with the Kingdom of Vatar, whereby Aya will marry Prince Bari. On the way to Vatar, her convoy is attacked by a magical beast that snatches the amulet from her. The princess will try to hide her secret and find out who she wants to stop the union of the kingdoms.

Princess Aya is the fourth animated feature film by Lee Sung-gang whose debut My Beautiful Girl, Mari won the Grand Prize for Best Animated Feature at the Annecy Film Festival in 2002. This award not only earned him the highest recognition as an animation professional, but also put Korean animation on the international map.
