Based on a true story, this is the story of Satoko, a scam artist. One day, a stranger gives her the opportunity of a lifetime. Satoko begins to work in the organisation of a major fraud, approaching potential clients to convince them to invest in a fake business. With a great power of seduction, she soon amasses a fortune. However, her ambition has no limit and after an argument with her boss she decides to steal the money and run away to Thailand, where she will acquire a new identity with the name of Erica and as a 38 year old businesswoman, being able to meet a new love. When she returns to Thailand to start the same business again, she cannot escape justice.

Yuichi Hibi is an acclaimed photographer and filmmaker, whose photography has gained international recognition. In 2014 he directed his debut feature An Ornament of Faith about the story of a broken family seeking redemption. His production Road Kill was selected for the Venice International Film Festival (2017), and Ken San, a documentary about the life of actor Ken Takakura and his influence on the film world, won the Best Documentary Award at the Montreal Film Festival (2016) and the Japan Movie Critics Award (2017).
