Three women in different areas of Indonesia must face their reality and redefine their role in society. Sutringah is the wife of a sugar extractor. After her husband’s accident she is forced to be the family’s breadwinner and fight against economic difficulties. Yati has a physical disability and redefines her future with her usual idealism, opposing her father’s convictions. Despite her physical difficulties and the ridicule she is subjected to because of her disability, she manages to work in a clothing factory. Maria is a widow and therefore lives with other widows. Like the other two protagonists, she has to face up to customs that do not favour her.

Harvan Agustriansyah, born in Jakarta, in 1980. He studied direction at the Jakarta Art Institute and has worked as an assistant director on numerous feature films. As a director, he has made many short films. He has also written and produced such Jazz Talk I (2004) or Silent Mob I (2016) which won numerous awards such as the Best Short Film at the Asia Peace Film Festival in Islamabad in 2017.
