Aani Mani

“Aani maani” is part of the world of Bhuttu (a 35 year old newly married kabob salesman) and a family that enjoys the simple pleasures of home and deals with the small frustrations of everyday life. Suddenly events threaten the family balance and destroy the harmony of their home. Aani Maani is a very popular game among children. A very simple game that represents the happiness and peace that we all strive for. They belong to a middle-class Muslim family that lives off their own business, until the local bureaucracy and police set out to abuse them. “Aani maani” is the story of the daily life of a simple family that is threatened by those who should protect it. This film has been made on a very small budget and with a team that shares its producer’s passion for cinema.

Fahim Irshad is a writer and director from Uttar Pradesh, India. He graduated in Communication from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. He has directed the short film Mubadala (2017), which was shortlisted for the Jio Filmfare Short Film Awards in 2018, and Aani Maani is his first feature film
