A paralyzed and hopeless Hong Kong man meets his new Filipino domestic worker who has put her dream on hold and came to the city to earn a living. These two strangers live under the same roof through different seasons, and as they learn more about each other, they also learn more about themselves. It won the award to the Best New Director at the 2019’s Asian Film Awards 2019, the NETPAC Award at the Hawaii International Film Festival 2018 and the Best Screenplay, Best Actor and a Special Mention to Films of Merit at the Hong Kong Film Critics Society Awards 2019.

Oliver Siu Kuen Chan (1987) is a director, editor, producer and writer. In 2015, as part of the 2015 Freshwave program, he made a short film “Children”, about a Christian couple dealing with the consequences of pre-marital sex. With it, the director won the scriptwriting competition and funding scheme First Feature Film Initiative (FFFI) and was given limited funding to realize “Still Human” (2018). So far she has won Best New Director in both Hong Kong Film Awards and Asian Film Awards.
