PRAY

Taewook is a priest with financial difficulties who is forced to work as a chauffeur every night. One day, his wife tells him his mother-in-law needs a liver transplant. To help her, Taewook goes around borrowing money, but it’s far from enough. Stuck in the face of the reality of poverty, the once faithful believer priest is tempted to commit a crime. Meanwhile, his wife meets a wealthy old friend who makes an insulting proposal. The film was presented at the 2018’s Busan International Film Festival.

Kang Dong-hun graduated from Korea National University of Arts with a major in cinema. He was invited to and awarded by numerous film festivals both domestic and international including International Film Festival Rotterdam with the shorts “Good Night”, “After Shaving” and “Love in Basket”.
