Beyond the Dream

Lok is a primary school teacher who suffers from schizophrenia. Although he doesn’t know how, he longs to love someone. One day he meets Yan and falls in love with her at first sight. However, he does not know if it is appropriate to tell her what is happening to him. Unfortunately, Lok has a relapse and his hallucinations make him question his true identity. They end up developing a forbidden, tortuous and enigmatic relationship whose fate they ignore.

Kiwi Chow is a Hong Kong film director. He studied at the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts (HKAPA), where he won the 2004 Academy’s Best Director award for his end-of-course project Grandma’s Room. Since then he has worked in the film industry as a director, editor and assistant, and even as a teacher at HKAPA.
