Beautiful Pain (Belle Doleur)

Elizabeth is a self-made woman. She is in her 40’s. She is bent on living on her own for the rest of her days. After her mother passes away due to a lingering and suffering disease, she meets Jon. He is a young man, 20 years junior. When love blooms between them, he tries to convince her about the not age boundaries at love. The love story seems to be ok, but Liz realizes that she can not to be part of the Jon’s dreams.

Joji Villanueva Alonso, is a novel filipin filmmaker. Alonso has studied at St. Therese college. After working per 31 years as a lawyer, decides to venture at the film industry as a producer at Quantum Films. Since that moment she has produced more than 32 films, some of them have been awarded internationally. The film The woman in the septic tank was selected for the Filipino Oscars submissions. After working as producer and suffering cancer she moves her job to be a filmmaker being Belle Doleur her debut her first full length film.
