Qiang lives in the big city and struggles to take care of his mentally unstable mother and a 5-year-old sister, Hui Shan. When a speeding car kills Hui Shan in an accident, Qiang is desperate to claim his sister’s body. Unfortunately, he can’t prove his relation with Hui Shan as she was never registered at birth. Qiang’s mother is no helping given her condition, so Qiang is forced to face this predicament on his own.

Director’s Biography

Tan Seng Kiatstudied at the Motion Picture Department of the National Taiwan University of Arts before starting his career in his native Malaysia. His first film, “32°C Fall in Love”, released in 2013 and won several awards at the BMW Shorties short film competition, including the Grand Prize. He also served as cinematographer for “Blind Mouth” (2017).
