Synopsis
Masha is going through a crisis of adolescence. In search of herself, she moves further and further from her family, these searches lead her to the company of new friends – her peers, who are involved in a scheme of illegal earnings. Masha’s new friend, Ram, whom she is in love with, also invites her to earn some money. He says that all that is required of her is to come to a party and have fun, and if she brings her friends, she will be paid extra for each. Unfortunately, by the time Masha recognizes the predatory strategy at work here, it’s already too late.
Director
Farkhat Zhurabayevich Sharipov (Kazakh: Фарха́т Жураба́евич Шари́пов; 4 December 1983; Almaty) is a Kazakh film director, screenwriter and producer. Farhat Sharipov graduated in the Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts. According to him, when he entered the university, as a young musician, a member of the rock band “Utopia”, he simply entered the wrong door and instead of sound engineering applied for directing, from which he was expelled, in 2007 he graduated from the sound engineering department with a red diploma. After graduation, he went to the United States for a special internship at the New York Film Academy, where he took a film-making course, which includes producing, screenwriting, cinematography, and even acting.
