Synopsis
In a world that has started to forget him, Hector, a widowed fisherman, feels the weight of his solitude. Everything changes when he encounters Theodore, a teenager desperately seeking a saviour to rescue him from a dire situation. United by their shared struggles, they embark on a journey across the enchanting Aegean Sea, where amidst the azure waters, they discover a newfound purpose and a reason to carry on.
Director
Jacob Richardson is an Australian director whose award-winning work has made international headlines. Jacob’s debut feature film The Aegean (2024), produced in Australia and shot in Greece and Australia, is an official selection of the 2024 Brisbane International Film Festival. Jacob’s first short film, Salt of the Earth (2022), about the Australian inventor of Chicken Salt, premiered at the Adelaide Film Festival. Jacob is also currently in post-production on feature documentary A Moment in the Sun, and in development on a slate of other feature projects.
