Synopsis

The movie explores grief and loss through the story of Wei Ying, a woman who has lost her son and divorced her husband. To cope with her sorrow, she immerses herself in her son’s unfinished task: translating a novel called “Sally’s Memory.” The film is structured into three temporal segments – after the son’s death many years ago, before the son’s death, and when the son was young – reflecting fragmented events of the same family over three different years, both before and after the Dragon Boat Festival.
