Synopsis
Estranged daughter Lou is a Hollywood actress whose career hasn’t taken off. At her father’s request, she returns to her hometown on Kangaroo Island, a complex homecoming that will confront her with her deeply religious sister Freya. Though they share a tense and complicated relationship due to their past full of disagreements, both sisters strive to mend their differences and find peace for their father’s sake, who seems to be the catalyst for this reconciliation. However, just as they seem to start making progress, a new and shocking family secret surfaces. This threatens to shatter the fragile truce they had achieved, testing their family bonds.

Timothy David Piper is an Australian writer and director and co-founder of Piro Inc, a New York-based entertainment company. His short films, including Dove’s Evolution (2006) commercial, have positioned him as one of the World’s Top 50 Creative Thinkers by Creativity Magazine and made Time Magazine’s Top 200 Most Influential People in the World. His advertising awards include two Cannes Lions Grand Prix, two London International Grand Prizes, a Grand Effie, a Grand Clio, an Epica D’Or, several One Show Pencils, D&AD awards, an Australasian Television Award Trophy, and the first Unilever Grand Prix. His first feature film, Kangaroo Island (2024), debuted at the Adelaide Film Festival 2024 as the closing night film.
