Synopsis
Kimia and Farid are seeking a divorce due to the wife’s mysterious illness. Though Farid seems to still love her and want for their relationship to work, he’s also flirting with a much younger female employee. The divorce implies each parent taking one of their sons to live with them, but 11-year-old Taha and his five-year-old brother Alisan are inseparable. The boys’ strong bond and friendship serve as a beacon of hope amid the tumult, highlighting the innocence of childhood and the power of familial love in the face of adversity.
Director
Babak Khajehpasha (1981) is an Iranian filmmaker, screenwriter, and actor. His contributions to cinema and television include collaborating as an assistant director on Muhammad: The Messenger of God (2015) and writing the screenplay for the film Dar Aghoosh-e Derakht (In the Arms of the Tree, 2023), among other projects. At the 41st Fajr Film Festival, he won the Crystal Simorgh for Best Screenplay for In the Arms of the Tree and received an Honorary Diploma for Best Directing of a Debut Film for the same work.
