Synopsis
Miyuri Obara is a young woman who loses her voice and vitality after experiencing bullying. Her only solace is Tsumugi, a silkworm she finds in the mountains and cares for devotedly. Miyuri’s fragile peace is shattered when her bully discovers and destroys her cherished companion. However, fate intervenes mysteriously when a new student, also named Tsumugi, transfers to her school, opening the door to an unexpected friendship and perhaps a new opportunity for Miyuri.
Director
Eda Yūka (1994), born in Takasaki, Gunma Prefecture, is a Japanese director with a promising career in the film industry. She gained significant recognition in 2013 with her film Sayōnara Spica, which was awarded both the Audience Award and the Special Jury Prize at the 26th Waseda Film Festival.
Currently, she actively participates in various film productions, expanding her experience in different roles within the industry. Her involvement includes shooting special additional footage for the film Over the Fence (2016) and creating behind-the-scenes videos for the film Grab the Sun (2016).
