Synopsis
Wei has a dream that he considers grand, but which those around him see as a naive fantasy. As he struggles between reality and fiction, claiming that he has been abducted by aliens, he risks losing everything that ever mattered to him. In a world caught between fiction and reality, the film chronicles his descent into the fragile confines of a confused mind that cannot escape the circle that holds him prisoner.
Director
Tham Wai Fook (Pahang, 1972) is a self-taught filmmaker who began directing short films in 2003, and has directed more than 10 to date. One of them, Xiao (Filial Piety), has racked up more than 4 million views on YouTube. He was in charge of Sense Club (1998-2009) and, while continuing to work as a film critic, he founded and curated the traveling short film program Beautiful Malaysia. His first feature film is Circus of Life (2025).
