Aquestes pel\u00b7l\u00edcules formen part de la mostra IndiaIndie, produ\u00efda per Casa de l&#8217;\u00cdndia i comissariada per Bina Paul, que fa especial \u00e8mfasi en el cinema d&#8217;autor m\u00e9s independent, tant en hindi com en altres lleng\u00fces regionals de l&#8217;\u00cdndia. En contrast amb la ind\u00fastria de Bollywood, el g\u00e8nere cinematogr\u00e0fic m\u00e9s popular i influent de l&#8217;\u00cdndia i pel qual el cinema d&#8217;aquest pa\u00eds ha estat m\u00e9s conegut, per a ella \u00e9s important oferir no nom\u00e9s una nova imatge de pa\u00eds tenint en compte la diversitat cultural i social existent, sin\u00f3 tamb\u00e9 les noves tend\u00e8ncies que es perceben en els diferents llenguatges i g\u00e8neres. El seu primer largmetratge, <strong>The Aegean<\/strong> (2024), rodat a Gr\u00e8cia i Austr\u00e0lia, va formar part de la selecci\u00f3 oficial del Festival Internacional de Cinema de Brisbane de 2024. La seva est\u00e8tica minimalista i aut\u00e8ntica \u00e9s acompanyada per narratives po\u00e8tiques i introspectives que incentiven la reflexi\u00f3 sobre l&#8217;exist\u00e8ncia i els ef\u00edmers moments d&#8217;aquesta.
