Els relats que ens narren les extenses geografies que abracem uneixen cultures i pobles, tot consolidant, respectivament, la seva identitat. L\u2019itinerari s\u2019inicia a l\u2019\u00cdndia i continua al Kazakhstan, l\u2019Iran, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, la Xina, el Jap\u00f3, les Filipines i Austr\u00e0lia. S\u2019ha concebut aix\u00ed perqu\u00e8 l\u2019espectador tingui l\u2019opci\u00f3 de reconstruir el mosaic d\u2019escenes que aquest cinema ens ofereix.\u00a0 Totes les pel\u00b7l\u00edcules que es projectaran s\u2019han realitzat entre 2022 i 2025, excepte Memory of Love (2009), del director xin\u00e8s Wang Chao. Decideix unir-se als seus companys de teatre en un viatge a un poble a prop de Mumbai, per\u00f2 el viatge no va com s&#8217;esperava i acaba tornant sol del viatge, caminant nu per la carretera. La seva exist\u00e8ncia comen\u00e7a a fragmentar-se a trossos. Se salta assajos importants de la seva p\u00f2xima obra i li costa de fer fins i tot les tasques m\u00e9s quotidianes. \u00c9s llavors quan es fa amic d&#8217;un nen que viu a l&#8217;apartament del davant, i descobreix que el seu pare n&#8217;abusa regularment. Aquest descobriment l&#8217;embarca en un viatge complex d&#8217;incertesa i intriga.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abhijit Mazumdar<\/strong> \u00e9s un cineasta i guionista indi, graduat al Film &amp; Television Institute of India (FTII). Actualment, dirigeix el Departament de Direcci\u00f3 al Whistling Woods International Institute de Mumbai. Al llarg de la seva carrera, ha dirigit curtmetratges, documentals, anuncis i dos llargmetratges destacats: <strong>Yeti<\/strong> (2014) i <strong>Body<\/strong> (2023). L&#8217;inici d&#8217;aquest entramat es produeix quan Ata, un jutge, presenta la sol\u00b7licitud de dimissi\u00f3 i decideix refugiar-se a la vila familiar als afores de la ciutat. En aquest habitatge la seva dona, Giti, tramita el divorci i el seu fill Farhad, estudiant universitari i activista social, torna de la pres\u00f3. Pare i fill viuen un retrobament distant i fred. Un accident de cotxe posa en perill la din\u00e0mica familiar que estabilitzar\u00e0 mitjan\u00e7ant l&#8217;engany i es perpetuar\u00e0 amb altres incidents.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ali Bayat<\/strong> (Arak, Iran 1983) despr\u00e9s de graduar-se en enginyeria mec\u00e0nica, va estudiar cinematografia. Compte amb cinc curtmetratges premiats a festivals internacionals: Cave, Guitar, Underground, Fall i Respect the Court. Tamb\u00e9 ha exercit com a ajudant de producci\u00f3 en pel\u00b7l\u00edcules com Isolation i Forever. Karlygash passa de dependre emocionalment d&#8217;Ilyas a fugir i finalment endinsar-se en un futur incert. La pel\u00b7l\u00edcula explora com les dones afronten la solitud a trav\u00e9s d?una hist\u00f2ria d?amor i passi\u00f3 que acaba amb el matrimoni.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Malika\u00a0Mukhamejan<\/strong> (Shu, 1993) \u00e9s una cineasta kazakh que es va graduar en direcci\u00f3 al Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography (VGIK) el 2021. El seu treball se centra en hist\u00f2ries de dones i en la seva solitud i a\u00efllament. \u00c9s la fundadora de QYZQARAS, una plataforma que recolza les cineastes al Kazakhstan. La seva germana s&#8217;havia casat en secret amb el cos\u00ed. Aquest succ\u00e9s va estripar la fam\u00edlia, per la qual cosa va decidir mediar entre la seva germana a Austr\u00e0lia, el seu germ\u00e0 als Estats Units i els seus pares a Daca. Dill-Riaz dirigeix la c\u00e0mera cap a si mateix i cap als seus \u00e9ssers estimats, construint una saga dom\u00e8stica donada al llarg de catorze anys. La pel\u00b7l\u00edcula ofereix un contrast d\u2019estils de vida entre cultures, amb una narrativa inclusiva que mostra l&#8217;a\u00efllament dels seus protagonistes davant del m\u00f3n que els envolta.<\/p>\n<p>Shaheen Dill-Riaz \u00e9s un cineasta, director, productor i guionista banglades\u00ed establert a Berl\u00edn. Despr\u00e9s de finalitzar l&#8217;ensenyament secundari, va comen\u00e7ar a col\u00b7laborar en la producci\u00f3 de diversos curtmetratges. El 1992 va iniciar els seus estudis d&#8217;Hist\u00f2ria de l&#8217;Art a la Freie Universit\u00e4t Berlin i, posteriorment, de cinematografia a la Filmuniversit\u00e4t Babelsberg Konrad Wolf. Des del 1999 ha desenvolupat la seva carrera com a realitzador, guionista, productor i director de fotografia a Europa i \u00c0sia. La seva amant s&#8217;ha convertit en un estrany, per\u00f2 ell es nega a perdre-la, encara que la ter\u00e0pia a qu\u00e8 ella se sotmet no garanteix que aquesta recuperi la mem\u00f2ria.<\/p>\n<p>Despr\u00e9s de graduar-se a la Universitat, <strong>Wang Chao<\/strong> va treballar durant cinc anys a la ind\u00fastria sider\u00fargica, encara que sempre va estar interessat pel cinema i la literatura. El 1991, va ingressar a l&#8217;Acad\u00e8mia de Cinema de Pequ\u00edn on es va graduar el 1994 i va comen\u00e7ar a treballar com a cr\u00edtic de cinema. \u00c9s aix\u00ed com va con\u00e8ixer Chen Kaige despr\u00e9s del rodatge de Terra Groga, i aquell el va contractar com a ajudant de direcci\u00f3 entre 1995 i 1998 per al rodatge d&#8217;Adeu a la meva concubina i de L&#8217;Emperador i l&#8217;Assass\u00ed. Durant aquest temps va escriure diversos relats curts que li van inspirar guions per a algunes pel\u00b7l\u00edcules. Amb Orphan of Anyang, que va rodar sense autoritzaci\u00f3, va fer el seu debut al cine com a director. Aquesta pel\u00b7l\u00edcula va ser seleccionada el 2001 per participar a la Secci\u00f3 Quinzena de Realitzadors del Festival de Cannes.
