Synopsis
Fly Me To The Moon (2023) is a family drama in which drug addiction comes between a father and his two daughters. Family dynamics are portrayed through the two sisters throughout their lives. The film awakens the viewer’s sensibility, using the atmosphere that characterizes the city of Hong Kong as a backdrop.
Director
Sasha Chuk Tsz-yin is a filmmaker who was born in 1991 and in 1997, her family moved to Hong Kong, where Chuk began to experience her interest in filmmaking. She studied Chinese Literature and Sociology at the University of Hong Kong. In 2020, he wrote the screenplay for Fly Me to the Moon, which was selected by the First Feature Film Initiative for funding. The film was released in 2023 and has been recognized with several awards, including the Best Director Award at the Hong Kong Film Festival and the Audience Award at the Taiwan International Film Festival.
