Synopsis

Kana is a 21-year-old who defies social norms and is diagnosed with bipolar disorder. The protagonist is portrayed as a directionless young woman who even falls in love just to pass the time. Her boyfriend, Honda, with whom she lives, tries to please her by paying the rent and cooking for her. However, she starts to feel like a burden as she begins to question her relationship with Hayashi, a self-assured young man. Desert of Namibia offers a vibrant and unembellished portrayal of Gen Z in Tokyo, highlighting her surprising and irreverent energy.
