Synopsis

A pygmy is given to a woman by her ex-husband, in an attempt to recover the unrest that persists in their relationship. At the same time, the niece of the animal’s new owner prepares for her marriage after having recently become engaged. From a contemplative and poetic perspective, Cu Li Never Cries (2024) emphasizes how processes of identity and mourning can endanger human relationships. This threat manifests itself when the present and past feed back into each other until they blur respectively.
