Synopsis
Since her husband left, Prabha lives submerged in her work as a nurse. A package sent from Germany interrupts its predisposition to forget the past. At the same time, her roommate in Mumbai, is experiencing the beginning of a passionate love story. All We Imagine As Light (2024) captures how life changes in front of new and shocking emotions, synchronizing their feminities to support each other.
Director
Payal Kapadia is an Indian filmmaker known for her work in documentary and experimental cinema. She studied at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), where she developed a unique style that combines documentary and fiction. Her film A Night of Knowing Nothing (2021) won the L’Œil d’or award for Best Documentary at the Cannes Film Festival. Kapadia addresses issues related to identity, historical memory and social imbalance using a poetic and reflective visual narrative. All We Imagine As Light (2024) talks about the intimacy of contemporary femininity through two love stories.
