Els relats que se\u2019ns narren uneixen cultures i pobles, consolidant respectivament la seva identitat. L\u2019itinerari s\u2019inicia a l\u2019\u00cdndia i es replica a la Xina, l\u2019Iran, Bangla Desh, el Kazakhstan, les Filipines i l\u2019Uzbekistan fins a arribar a Austr\u00e0lia. Amit Masurkar<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> \u00e9s un director i guionista indi. Va abandonar els estudis d\u2019enginyeria a l\u2019Institut de Tecnologia de Manipal als 20 anys per dedicar-se al cinema. M\u00e9s tard, va obtenir una llicenciatura en Hist\u00f2ria per la Universitat de Bombai. Ha dirigit <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Sulemani Keeda<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> i <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Newton<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, que va ser seleccionada com a Millor Pel\u00b7l\u00edcula de parla no anglesa a la 90a edici\u00f3 dels Premis de l&#8217;Acad\u00e8mia. La pel\u00b7l\u00edcula empra la metateatralitat recorrent a l\u2019obra en qu\u00e8 Orzu treballa, explorant la decad\u00e8ncia humana i la recerca espiritual. Inicialment entregada completament al seu paper, aquesta experi\u00e8ncia la porta a una nova comprensi\u00f3 de l\u2019art i la veritat en el m\u00f3n. Inspirada, Orzu redirigeix la seva vida cap a una causa humanit\u00e0ria. Troba a l\u2019orfenat on resideix la seva germana un lloc ideal per iniciar la seva nova missi\u00f3: sanar els cors trencats del m\u00f3n.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Dir. Khusnora Rozmatova<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, una directora nascuda a Uzbekistan, ha rebut reconeixement internacional en guanyar el premi \u201cFor Humanism\u201d al 19\u00e8 Festival Musulm\u00e0 Internacional de Cinema de Kazan. En els darrers anys, el cinema uzbek ha experimentat una visibilitat sense precedents, no nom\u00e9s per l\u2019auge que est\u00e0 tenint en la ind\u00fastria, sin\u00f3 tamb\u00e9 pels premis internacionals que mostren el seu nou atractiu als ulls internacionals. Incapa\u00e7 d\u2019accedir a un habitatge p\u00fablic, en Tarek sobreviu prostituint-se per al seu abusiu proxeneta, en Masi. Enmig d\u2019aquesta mis\u00e8ria, l\u2019assassinat d\u2019un refugiat local es converteix en un esdeveniment cat\u00e0rtic. El germ\u00e0 petit, en Zaeed, vol escapar a tota costa. Mentrestant, la Bobby, una volunt\u00e0ria australiana dedicada a salvar vides de refugiats, s\u2019amaga en un motel. Els seus traumes l\u2019han deixada emocionalment paralitzada. Abans de tornar a Austr\u00e0lia, ha de vendre il\u00b7legalment el marisc que ha recol\u00b7lectat, una activitat en el mercat negre que complica la seva relaci\u00f3 amb el mar i reaviva perillosament els seus records del passat.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Dir. Jason Raftopoulos<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> \u00e9s un director, guionista i productor greco-australi\u00e0. Va estudiar direcci\u00f3 cinematogr\u00e0fica al Victorian College of the Arts a Melbourne. Ha estat premiat en diversos festivals al llarg de la seva carrera. El seu documental <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">From Dope to Dalai Lama <\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">va guanyar el premi al Millor Curtmetratge Documental als Inside Film Awards de 2010. Raftopoulos va adaptar el seu curt <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Father\u2019s Day <\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">a la pel\u00b7l\u00edcula <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">West of Sunshine<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, que es va estrenar mundialment a la 74a edici\u00f3 del Festival Internacional de Cinema de Ven\u00e8cia (Secci\u00f3 Orrizonti) el 2017 i va ser nominada al Premi Lle\u00f3 del Futur a la Millor \u00d2pera Prima i a Millor Pel\u00b7l\u00edcula. A mesura que la Putul s\u2019adapta a la seva nova vida, la parella s\u2019enfronta a dificultats per l\u2019impacte ambiental advers de les preses al riu Teesta. Aquestes preses retenen l\u2019aigua durant l\u2019estaci\u00f3 seca i l\u2019alliberen durant els monsons, provocant inundacions que afecten greument els agricultors i les seves comunitats. La pel\u00b7l\u00edcula destaca les lluites universals dels pagesos i les dones marginades, ressaltant la seva resili\u00e8ncia davant l\u2019adversitat.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Dir. Khandaker Sumon<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, nascut el 2 de febrer de 1982 a Gaibandha, Bangla Desh, \u00e9s un destacat cineasta i director. Va comen\u00e7ar la seva traject\u00f2ria art\u00edstica al &#8220;Gaibandha Theatre&#8221;, on va descobrir la seva passi\u00f3 per les arts esc\u00e8niques. Per perfeccionar el seu talent, Sumon va fer un curs a l\u2019Institut de Cinema de Bangla Desh sota la tutoria del reconegut cineasta Tanvir Mokammel. Dirigeix la productora <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Idea Exchange<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, a trav\u00e9s de la qual ha realitzat diversos anuncis amb consci\u00e8ncia social.
