The act will consist of projecting the film \u201c<em>La decisi\u00f3n de Alice<\/em>\u201d (Alice) directed by the Australian filmmaker Josephine Mackerras followed by a discussion panel which will be in charge of Marta Grau, Pepa Reverter, Paco Poch, Xavi Lezcano and Menene Gras Balaguer.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Josephine Mackerras<\/strong>\u00a0is an Australian filmmaker and scriptwriter who spent her childhood between Australia and China. At the age of 16 she moved to Jerusalem, from there she moved to Amsterdam and New York where she enrolled in Cinematography Studies. The short film \u201c<em>A Sign\u201d<\/em>, \u201c<em>Modlitba\u201d<\/em>, \u201c<em>L\u2019enfant perdu<\/em>\u201d and \u201c<em>Diva<\/em>\u201d have been projected in more than ninety festivals. \u201c<em>La decisi\u00f3n de Alice\u201d<\/em>\u00a0 (Alice) is her first full-length film. It is the story of a woman that fights for her emancipation after being cheated on by Fran\u00e7ois, her husband and father of her son, with whom she lives in Paris. One day, Alice discovers that her credit card has been blocked and her band account emptied by her husband (who lives a separate life surrounded by sex workers and luxury escorts). Little by little, the main character will give a 180\u00b0 turn to her life, taking control over it and proving to herself what she is capable of. Fran\u00e7ois will come back home crushed but nothing will be the same. This film was projected during the previous edition of the Asian Film Festival of Barcelona (AFFBCN2020).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Projection: Alice<\/strong>|Dir.
