El Jap\u00f3 apareix a trav\u00e9s de les finestres que el cinema ens obre sobre la realitat, sorprenent-nos amb situacions en les quals ens podem arribar a recon\u00e8ixer en els seus protagonistes. Aquest cinema hereta les aportacions de cineastes com Yasujiro Ozu o Akira Kurosawa, per\u00f2 tamb\u00e9 les que ha fet la literatura des de la segona meitat del segle XX fins el moment actual. Les set pel\u00b7l\u00edcules que es presenten en aquest cicle han estat filmades entre 2018 i 2019, i en tots els casos se\u2019ns mostra la complexitat dels m\u00f3ns als que se\u2019ns permet accedir, amb la intenci\u00f3 de que puguem identificar la soledat de les figures d\u2019un paisatge urb\u00e0 que atreu a l\u2019estranger pel seu car\u00e0cter identitari, i perqu\u00e8 ha sabut incorporar el passat al present al que la imatge en moviment ens introdueix amb una facilitat que cap altre mitj\u00e0 de comunicaci\u00f3 ha pogut aconseguir.<\/p>\n<h5><strong><u>PROGRAMACI\u00d3<\/u><\/strong><\/h5>\n<p><strong>Dissabte 14 de desembre de 2019, 20h<br \/>\n<a href=\"\/2020?p=23568\">HIS LOST NAME<\/a>, Dir: Nanako Hirose | 2018 | 113\u2019 | Thriller<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Troben un jove semi-inconscient a la vora del riu. Un vidu de mitjana edat, en Tetsuro, d\u00f3na aixopluc a l&#8217;home que no diu res m\u00e9s que el seu nom &#8220;Shin-ichi&#8221;. Encara desconcertat per l&#8217;entusiasme de l&#8217;anci\u00e0, que tracta al Shin-ichi com al seu propi fill proporcionant-li un lloc on viure i una feina, el Shin-ichi comen\u00e7a a sentir-se a gust i intenta confessar el seu passat. Mentrestant, s&#8217;est\u00e9n un rumor sobre un incident de fa temps a la ciutat, i la gent comen\u00e7a a sospitar del foraster. La pel\u00b7l\u00edcula s&#8217;ha estrenat al Busan International Film Festival 2018, s&#8217;ha presentat al Hong Kong International Film Festival 2019, al Palm Springs International Film Festival 2019, i a la secci\u00f3 oficial panorama del Asian Film Festival Barcelona 2019 i va guanyar una Menci\u00f3 Especial al Tokyo FILMeX 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Nanako Hirose \u00e9s una directora japonesa que, despr\u00e8s d\u2019haver-se llicenciat a la Universitat d\u2019Art de Musashino, es va unir a la companyia de producci\u00f3 BUN-BUKU de Kore-eda Hirokazu en 2011. La pel\u00b7l\u00edcula \u201cHis Lost Name\u201d marca el seu debut al cinema.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dissabte 21 de desembre de 2019, 20h<br \/>\n<a href=\"\/2020?p=25134\">ASIAN THREE-FOLD MIRROR 2018: JOURNEY<\/a>, Dir: Edwin, Daishi Matsunaga, Degena Yun | 2018 | 83\u2019 | Drama<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Aquesta antologia engloba tres pel\u00b7l\u00edcules realitzades per tres directors de tres pa\u00efsos diferents. Cadascuna d&#8217;aquestes pel\u00b7l\u00edcules tracta sobre un viatge. &#8220;The Sea&#8221; de Degena Yun (Xina), segueix a una mare i el seu fill en el viatge per mar des de Beijing. &#8220;Hekishu&#8221;, la de Daishi Matsunaga (Jap\u00f3), reprodueix el viatge d&#8217;un empresari japon\u00e8s involucrat en el desenvolupament de les infraestructures a Yangon. L&#8217;\u00faltima \u00e9s una pel\u00b7l\u00edcula titulada &#8220;Variable No.3&#8221;, de Edwin (Indon\u00e8sia), que explica la hist\u00f2ria d&#8217;un viatge d&#8217;una parella a T\u00f2quio. La pel\u00b7l\u00edcula es va presentar mundialment en el Tokyo International Film Festival 2018 i va participar en la secci\u00f3 especial del Asian Film Festival Barcelona 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Edwin \u00e9s un director i escriptor indonesi conegut per les seves pel\u00b7l\u00edcules \u201cBlind Pig Who Wants to Fly\u201d (2008), \u201cPostcards from the Zoo\u201d (2012) i \u201cA Very Boring Conversation\u201d (2006). Daishi Matsunaga es un director I actor japon\u00e8s. Des de l\u2019any 2000 ha treballat principalment com a director de publicitat, v\u00eddeos musicals i documentals. Degena Yun es directora i guionista xinesa nascuda a Mong\u00f2lia Interior i amb la seu a Beijing. \u00c9s coneguda per les seves pel\u00b7l\u00edcules \u201cA Simple Goodbye\u201d (2015) i \u201cLatitude 52\u201d (2012).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dissabte 28 de desembre de 2020, 20h<br \/>\n<a href=\"\/2020?p=22994\">CALL FOR DREAMS<\/a>, Dir: Ran Slavin | 2018 | 83\u2019 | Drama, Thriller<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>En un T\u00f2quio xop per la pluja i des d&#8217;un apartament d\u2019uns gratacels, l\u2019Eko es complica la vida publicant un anunci de &#8220;Call For Dreams&#8221; al diari. Ella va visitant als desconeguts que li deixen descripcions dels seus somnis al seu contestador autom\u00e0tic, i els descodifica. Els detalls s&#8217;acumulen en una xarxa de somnis que involucra a la seva ve\u00efna, un mafi\u00f3s rus, una culturista, una dona gran i un detectiu israeli\u00e0 que investiga un assassinat a Tel Aviv, en una hist\u00f2ria que es desenvolupa en l\u00ednies paral\u00b7leles. La pel\u00b7l\u00edcula va participar en la secci\u00f3 NETPAC del Asian Film Festival Barcelona 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Ran Slavin \u00e9s cineasta, videoartista i productor experimental de m\u00fasica electr\u00f2nica. El treball de Ran Slavin es basa en projectes i mitjans creuats, sovint dissenyats per a llocs espec\u00edfics. Aquest inclou cinema, instal\u00b7laci\u00f3 de v\u00eddeo, composici\u00f3 de so, fotografia i edicions impreses. La inclusi\u00f3 d&#8217;arranjaments influenciats pels somnis doten de sorprenents fusions del digital i la realitat a les seves obres, amb narratives de desorientaci\u00f3, ci\u00e8ncia ficci\u00f3 i neo-noir. \u00c9s conegut per &#8220;Call for Dreams&#8221; (2018), &#8220;The Insomniac City Cycles&#8221; (2009) i &#8220;Ursulimum&#8221; (2011).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dissabte<\/strong><strong> 4 de gener de 2020, 20h<br \/>\n<a href=\"\/2020?p=23141\">AND YOUR BIRD CAN SING<\/a>, Dir: Sho Miyake | 2018 | 107\u2019 | Drama<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La pel\u00b7l\u00edcula naturalista i aclaridora de Miyake Sho retrata el viatge sense rumb fix de la joventut cap a l&#8217;amor i la maduresa. L\u2019Emoto Tasuku interpreta un protagonista an\u00f2nim la mandrosa visi\u00f3 del m\u00f3n del qual es veu desafiada subtilment quan la seva novia, la Sachiko, es troba amb el seu company d&#8217;habitaci\u00f3 a l\u2019atur, el Shizuo. Basada en una novel\u00b7la de 1982 del difunt Sato Yasushi, que va inspirar \u201cSketches of Kaitan City\u201d (2010) i \u201cThe Light Shines Only There\u201d (2014), aquesta pausada com\u00e8dia dram\u00e0tica capta les id\u00edl\u00b7liques divagacions i la incansable malenconia de la joventut que s&#8217;acosta a la maduresa. La pel\u00b7l\u00edcula s&#8217;ha presentat al Berlin International Film Festival 2019, al Jeonju International Film Festival 2019, al Tokyo International Film Festival 2018, al Hong Kong International Film Festival 2019 i va participar a la secci\u00f3 discoveries del Asian Film Festival Barcelona 2019. Ha estat nominada a la Millor Pel\u00b7l\u00edcula i ha guanyat el premi al Millor Actor als Kinema Junpo Awards 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Sho Miyake (1984, Sapporo, Jap\u00f3) \u00e9s director i escriptor. Ha completat el curs introductori de ficci\u00f3 a l&#8217;Escola de Cinema de T\u00f2quio al 2007. \u00c9s conegut per &#8220;Playback&#8221; (2012) i &#8220;Wild Tour&#8221; (2019).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dissabte<\/strong><strong> 11 de gener de 2020, 20h<br \/>\n<a href=\"\/2020?p=21977\">12 SUICIDAL TEENS<\/a>, Dir: Tsutsumi Yukihiko | 2019 | 117\u2019 | Thriller<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dotze joves que s&#8217;estan preparant per a complir amb el seu pacte su\u00efcida en un hospital abandonat, descobreixen el cad\u00e0ver d&#8217;un noi desconegut. A mesura que augmenta la tensi\u00f3, han de preguntar-se si hi ha un assass\u00ed entre ells, i si poden seguir endavant amb el seu pacte. Aquest thriller captivador aborda l&#8217;alarmant problema del su\u00efcidi generalitzat entre els adolescents contemporanis. La pel\u00b7l\u00edcula s&#8217;ha presentat al Hong Kong International Film Festival 2019i va participar a la secci\u00f3 oficial panorama del Asian Film Festival 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Yukihiko Tsutsumi \u00e9s cineasta, director i artista visual japon\u00e8s. Ha comen\u00e7at la seva carrera realitzant videoclips de m\u00fasica i s&#8217;ha diversificat abastant multitud d&#8217;\u00e0mbits, inclosos esdeveniments teatrals i musicals, s\u00e8ries televisives, publicitat i pel\u00b7l\u00edcules a la gran pantalla. La seva pel\u00b7l\u00edcula &#8220;Beautiful Dreamer&#8221; (2000) ha estat un \u00e8xit de taquilla al Jap\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dissabte 18 de gener de 2020, 20h<br \/>\n<a href=\"\/2020?p=23099\">PORTRAITS OF A RAINBOW<\/a>, Dir: Ayumi Nakagawa | 2018 | 79\u2019 | Documental<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>El fam\u00f3s fot\u00f2graf Leslie Kee \u00e9s sobretot conegut per les seves fotografies de moda i els seus retrats de famosos com Madonna. Treballa per tot el m\u00f3n i viu des de fa vint-i-cinc anys al Jap\u00f3, un pa\u00eds que viu l\u2019auge del moviment pels drets LGBTQ, tot i que s\u00f3n molts els que han de continuar mantenint oculta la seva orientaci\u00f3 sexual. El mateix Leslie, sent gai, no pot explicar-li a la seva fam\u00edlia, que resideix a Singapur. Tot i aix\u00ed, s\u2019embarca en un ambici\u00f3s projecte per fotografiar a deu mil persones LGBTQ, amb l\u2019objectiu de fer l\u2019exposici\u00f3 Out in Japan. La primera vegada, en la conservadora ciutat japonesa de Nara, hi ha poca assist\u00e8ncia, per\u00f2 en Leslie continua fent retrats.<\/p>\n<p>La cineasta Ayumi Nakagawa va seguir a aquest fot\u00f2graf durant un any, mentre feia els primers mil retrats. Es va centrar en la vida de quatre persones: una parella de dones que intentaven ser mares, un defensor de les persones amb VIH i un home transg\u00e8nere en proc\u00e9s de dol despr\u00e9s del su\u00efcidi de la seva parella. Pel cam\u00ed, el propi Leslie va anar transformant-se poc a poc tamb\u00e9, gr\u00e0cies a aquesta experi\u00e8ncia commovedora.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dissabte 25 de gener de 2020, 20h<br \/>\nLOS ALBORES DEL KAIJU EIGA, \u00a0Dir: Jonathan Bell\u00e9s<\/strong> <strong>| 2019 | 50\u2019 | Documental, <\/strong><strong>Ci\u00e8ncia Ficci\u00f3<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Al Jap\u00f3, l&#8217;amena\u00e7a nuclear va influenciar en la creaci\u00f3 del <em>kaiju eiga<\/em>, que es refereix a un g\u00e8nere de pel\u00b7l\u00edcules de monstres gegants. El primer <em>kaiju eiga<\/em> va ser Godzilla (1954). Durant m\u00e9s de sis d\u00e8cades, hi ha hagut diverses generacions de cineastes que han mostrat al monstre en diferents formats tenint en compte la relaci\u00f3 entre Godzila i la bomba at\u00f2mica. Per\u00f2, quin \u00e9s l&#8217;origen d&#8217;aquesta uni\u00f3, i com ha evolucionat al llarg dels seus m\u00e9s de seixanta anys d&#8217;hist\u00f2ria? Descobreix aquesta hist\u00f2ria a trav\u00e9s de m\u00e9s de vint entrevistes a cineastes, actors i experts en cinema que han treballat en les pel\u00b7l\u00edcules de Godzilla des del 1954 fins a l&#8217;actualitat.<\/p>\n<p>Jonathan Bell\u00e9s (Castell\u00f3 de la Plana, 1988) \u00e9s productor, director i guionista de curtmetratges, videoart i documentals espanyol. \u00c9s llicenciat en Belles Arts i Doctor en Arts per la Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Val\u00e8ncia. Bell\u00e9s ha dirigit documentals com &#8220;Ren\u00e9 Magritte: dr\u00f4le de bonhomme&#8221; (2010), que tracta sobre la vida del pintor belga Magritte, &#8220;No es cosa de risa&#8221; (2016), que aprofundeix en els secrets de la com\u00e8dia a Espanya i &#8220;Los albores del kaiju eiga &#8220;(2019), un documental sobre els or\u00edgens del popular monstre Godzilla lligats a l&#8217;era at\u00f2mica.
